OCCI holds meeting with Japanese officials

Members of the Industry and Promotion Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) chaired by Ayman bin Abdullah al Ahsani, OCCI's Board member and Head of the Committee, yesterday met with members of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), who are conducting a study on the industrial development in the Sultanate in conjunction with the Directorate-General of Industry at the Commerce and Industry Ministry. The committee's members answered queries raised by the visiting team. Some proposals were added to the study in terms of developing the industrial estates and utilising Japanese technologies in the Omani industry. Al Ahsani affirmed the OCCI’s keenness in establishing co-operation and partnership in technical and investment fields between the private sector establishments in the Sultanate and Japan and benefiting from the Japanese expertise.
