MUSCAT — A group of 23 specially invited guests and media personnel enjoyed the traditional delights of authentic Ramadhan fare at the Golden Tulip Seeb’s Le Jardin Restaurant. Le Jardin has a different iftar menu daily so that diners can enjoy a variety of popular iftar dishes throughout the holy month of fasting. Special features at the restaurant are the five live cooking stations where iftar meals are prepared in view of the diners.
The five stations include the ‘Arabic bread’ station — serving various types of Arabic bread, ‘Pasta’ station — with all different types of pasta, ‘Deserts’ station — includes pancakes, cakes and fruits with special fillings and toppings, ‘Mixed grill station — that has barbecued meats, fish and tandoori, and a station where a whole ‘Ouzi’ — whole lamb with oriental rice is served to perfection by the chef.
The restaurant has a special Arabic refreshment corner serving all the popular and refreshing Ramadhan-time beverages, such as kamardin, jelab, tamarhind, laban and fresh cocktail juices, as well as the customary piping hot Arabic coffee and an assortment of nuts and dates. Besides all of this, there is the normal local and international buffet with two different kinds of soup and 20 different types of salad and a special cheese corner. There is also a selection of popular Arabic and international desserts.
